Acupuncture for stress and anxiety
When the body cannot turn off the alarm
Stress and anxiety do not happen only in the mind. They also appear in the body: shallow breathing, jaw tension, raised shoulders, light sleep, irregular digestion, and tiredness that does not resolve with rest.
Sympathetic and parasympathetic balance
When we live in alert mode, the sympathetic nervous system stays activated. Acupuncture may help lower that intensity and support the parasympathetic system, associated with rest, digestion, repair, and calm.
The body as a circuit
Yang's material explains acupuncture as a reset button. When the biological circuit becomes blocked by tension, stress, or overload, the needle acts as a gentle signal for the body to remember how to regulate itself.
What a session looks at
A session for stress or anxiety does not look only at emotional state. It also observes sleep, breathing, digestion, muscular tension, daily energy, and how the body carries mental load.
What you may feel
Many people feel warmth, pleasant heaviness, tingling, or deep relaxation. Some fall asleep. This is not a shutdown: it is often a sign that the nervous system is beginning to leave defense mode.
Sleep and recovery
When the nervous system slows down, rest may become more restorative. Acupuncture does not force sleep, but it may create better internal conditions for the body to enter rest.
Cumulative care
In long-term stress, one session may bring relief, but deeper work is often cumulative. The body needs to receive the signal of calm several times in order to consolidate it.
A space to return to the body
At Yang, the session is also a pause. It is not about turning emotion off, but helping the body have more resources to move through it with stability.
